In the morning after your breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and be transferred to Arusha national park for your registration before setting off with the ranger guide for the hike. The hike to Miriakamba hut will take approximately 5-6 hours and you will through the grasslands towards the acacia forests. Expect to spot several wildlife species including giraffes, buffalos and various bird species. Overnight at Miriakamba Hut
Wake up early for your breakfast and continue your trek along a steep track arriving at the elephant back after about 2 – 3 hours. The vegetation of the area changes from rainforest to heather and moorland. After lunch, you can opt to have a short hike to Little Meru which will take about 2 hours. While at the top, you will have rewarding views of Arusha national park and Kilimanjaro Mountain. Overnight at Saddle Hut
After your midnight, the true Mount excursion begins with your headlamps as you embark on your hike of approximately 5 hours. Hiking to the summit is the most difficult and challenging part of the trek though it’s also interesting and adventurous. Once you reach the peak, get out of your cameras since you will have clear and beautiful views of different mountains and vibrant landscapes. Later, you will have your lunch at Saddle hut as you prepare for your walk to Miriakamba hut where you will spend the night.
Enjoy a delicious early morning breakfast and proceed with the descending to Momela gate where you will buy different drinks and souvenirs like Mount Meru trekking t-shirts. From there, your driver will drive you back to Moshi where your journey started.
Wake up for your breakfast at the lodge and later check out for your transfer to Kilimanjaro airport where you will take your departure flight.
