DISCOVERY SLAYERS BOOKING POLICY

Location: Uganda
This policy governs all travel and tour bookings made with Discovery Slayers, and outlines the terms under which services are provided.
- Booking Process
- A booking is considered confirmed only after a 30% deposit has been received and a written confirmation is issued by Discovery Slayers. Clients are required to provide accurate details including full name, nationality, and valid contact information at the time of booking.
- Payment Terms
- Clients must pay a 30% deposit to secure their booking. The balance of 70% is due at least 30 days before the tour start date. If a booking is made within 30 days of travel, full payment is required upfront. Payments can be made via bank transfer, mobile money (MTN or Airtel), or credit/debit card (subject to processing fees).
- Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made in writing. The following charges apply based on notice period:
- More than 45 days: 10% of total cost
- 30–45 days: 30%
- 15–29 days: 50%
- 7–14 days: 75%
- Less than 7 days or no-show: 100%
Please note: Gorilla and chimpanzee permits are non-refundable once issued.
- Amendments
- Amendments to confirmed bookings can be made up to 14 days before departure, subject to availability and a $25 administrative fee. Changes requested within 14 days of travel may incur additional costs or be restricted.
- Refund Policy

Eligible refunds will be processed within 21 business days after cancellation, minus applicable fees. All refunds are made using the original payment method and currency used during booking.
- Travel Insurance
- All travelers must obtain comprehensive travel insurance before departure. Insurance must cover medical emergencies, trip cancellation, lost luggage, and personal liability. Discovery Slayers is not liable for any claims due to lack of insurance.
- Passport & Visa Responsibility
- It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they hold valid passports and obtain all necessary visas for Uganda and any other countries on the itinerary. Discovery Slayers will offer visa guidance when required.
- Health & Safety Requirements
- Travelers must declare any health conditions or dietary requirements at the time of booking. All travelers are expected to comply with health regulations, including vaccination requirements and public health guidelines in place at the time of travel.
- Liability & Third-Party Services
- Discovery Slayers acts only as an agent for service providers such as lodges, transport companies, and activity operators. We are not responsible for delays, loss, injury, or damage caused by third parties.
- Force Majeure
- In events beyond our control—such as natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, or political unrest—Discovery Slayers shall not be held liable for any disruption or cancellation of travel plans.
- Complaints Procedure
- Complaints should be reported immediately to the tour guide or company representative. Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 7 days of tour completion for review and resolution.
- Governing Law
- All bookings and services provided are subject to the laws and jurisdiction of the Republic of Uganda.
